# Current bibliography metadata

The inventory retains 1,366 conservative work/access records and 1,374 access
URLs from 5,875 source occurrences. These are not 1,366 verified unique works.
All 851 older work IDs and the 30-record reviewed pilot are preserved.

`typed_metadata.json` combines the preserved base with seven bounded identity
reviews: the earlier 32 records, eight identities from the raw-score source
follow-ups, four identities used in the incoming-flight notes, 17 institutional web-page identities, 26 Iranica article/section identities, 32 Pleiades place/resource identities, and 53 Chicago/Penelope text and edition identities. The original 32 changed records remain available in
`../identity_followup_20260908/typed_metadata_overlay.json`; their primary
verification URLs and individual review decisions are included in each record.
`../identity_followup_20260908/IDENTITY_RELATIONS.json` preserves the related
book/chapter distinctions without merging work IDs.

The eight additional records are available in
`../identity_followup_20260909/typed_metadata_overlay.json`. They identify
Grant's *Greek Captives and Mediterranean Slavery, 1260–1460* (2024), two
Breasted access records, Tsafack's refugee article, Langer's deportation
article, the SAHO Cape article and two USHMM articles. The corresponding
`IDENTITY_RELATIONS.json` links the two Breasted records to the same scanned
volume; neither ID is merged. Missing fields and conflicting dates remain
explicit in each record.

Four further identities are available in
`../flight_identity_followup_20260909/typed_metadata_overlay.json`: the 2014
Davies/Finglass edition of *Stesichorus: The Poems*, the HRW Montagnards report,
Yang's Taiwan exile article and Sen's Andaman article. Original work IDs and
source occurrences remain intact. Canova's already deposited record is unchanged.
Yang's 2020 online date and 2021 issue date remain separate. The Stesichorus
identity uses indexed publisher text; direct publisher PDF downloads timed out.
HRW's report identity and copyright details were checked on its title and
copyright pages. Individual access and edition limits remain in the records.

Seventeen institutional page identities are available in
`../institutional_identity_followup_20260909/typed_metadata_overlay.json`:
six SAHO pages, a Library of Congress exhibit section, three National Park
Service articles, an NZHistory page and six USHMM pages. All 81 associated
original occurrences remain intact. Publisher modification dates and historical
periods are kept separate from first-publication dates. Personal bylines are
recorded only where the consulted source supplies them.

[Three field exceptions](../institutional_identity_followup_20260909/FIELD_EXCEPTIONS.json)
remain unresolved: the SAHO forced-removals page supplies conflicting personal
and institutional attribution, its editor field contains one unparsed name
string, and the LOC section supplies a date without a demonstrated role.
Supplied values remain separate; missing dates and bylines remain absent.
The corresponding `IDENTITY_RELATIONS.json` keeps two separately titled SAHO
pages distinct despite their inherited combined label. No IDs are merged.

Twenty-six Iranica identities are available in
`../iranica_identity_followup_20260909/typed_metadata_overlay.json`. Publisher
article titles, displayed bylines, publication/update labels and print locators
identify the existing records. Nineteen decisions use web-reader excerpts and
seven use publisher-indexed text. Original titles, URLs and all 116 associated
source occurrences remain intact. The two Shapur URLs retain distinct title
spellings and update dates; full body equivalence is unverified. The combined
Deportations article retains three authors.

[Three additional fields](../iranica_identity_followup_20260909/FIELD_EXCEPTIONS.json)
remain open for Bamian ii: section author, publication date and modification
date. Parent-entry dates and sibling authors are not assigned to the section.
Together with the earlier institutional exceptions, six explicit fields remain
open across the two downloadable records. Darius and Georgia use publisher HTML
metadata; the originally linked PDFs remain uninspected. Publisher Published
labels do not establish independently verified first-print or first-online dates.
Direct requests and archive availability checks were blocked or rate-limited;
no complete source download or external archival snapshot is claimed.

Thirty-two Pleiades references to 28 places are available in
`../pleiades_identity_followup_20260909/typed_metadata_overlay.json`. The source
snapshot is official repository commit `d3005b18e2583b74bed0937ce759e606d329545e`
from 2026-09-08. Titles, separate creator/contributor labels, creation and
history timestamps, publication workflow actions, provenance and rights retain
their source roles. Twenty-three of 28 creation timestamps follow a recorded
publication action; no first-publication year or formal citation author order
is inferred. All 39 associated source occurrences and four pairs of distinct
page/JSON access IDs are preserved.

[Two Pleiades fields](../pleiades_identity_followup_20260909/FIELD_EXCEPTIONS.json)
remain open: normalized creator sequences for Corduba and Emerita, where the
source arrays contain a detached Jr. label. Contributor labels Joe User and jfu
remain literal, without person-name expansion. Together with the six earlier
fields, eight fields remain open across three downloadable exception records.
The pinned main snapshot is distinct from numbered release 4.1 and uninspected
canonical live pages or original geometry versions. Source access used the
repository documented by Pleiades after canonical access encountered a bot check.
No third-party archival snapshot or new historical/geometry acceptance is claimed.

Fifty-three Chicago/Penelope text and edition identities are available in
`../penelope_identity_followup_20260909/typed_metadata_overlay.json`. Work and
section titles, supplied author and translator names, text language, edition
and reprint dates retain their source roles. The Latin Pliny and Frontinus
texts have no English translator assigned. Hall's original 1898 publication
and the transcribed 1974 reprint remain separate. All 207 associated citation
occurrences and the original URLs, labels and work IDs are preserved.

[Two supplementary access corrections](../penelope_identity_followup_20260909/ACCESS_CORRECTIONS.json)
identify the intended Velleius page/section and Frontinus section anchor.
[Two Strabo header conflicts](../penelope_identity_followup_20260909/EDITION_CONFLICTS.json)
retain the website's V/1928 labels while identifying Volume VI and its 1929
first printing from five inspected facsimile pages. The corroborating scan
has a 1960 title page; the physical printing transcribed by the website is
not established. This was a bounded scan inspection, not a full collation.
The site's proofreading labels remain attributed reports.

The corresponding `IDENTITY_RELATIONS.json` preserves nine groups sharing a
retrieved page body without merging their access records. `FIELD_EXCEPTIONS.json`
records no new open fields; the eight earlier fields remain unresolved. These
checks identify references and access paths; they do not establish new support
for historical claims or change source-note interpretations.

One hundred and two Cambridge-hosted work and component identities are available
in `../cambridge_identity_followup_20260909/typed_metadata_overlay.json`.
Publisher titles, supplied contributor roles, printed/issue dates, current-platform
online dates and DOI registrations remain distinct. The 103-record selection
retains all 510 original occurrences. The original Capua reference remains
[unresolved](../cambridge_identity_followup_20260909/UNRESOLVED_IDENTITIES.json);
a related chapter has not been shown to be the intended work.

Four full chapter subtitles and two legacy author attributions are corrected
in the typed view: C. P. Lewis wrote the Harrying of the North chapter, and Huw
Pryce wrote the Welsh-history chapter. The atlas also carries the Pryce correction
and Xin Wen's printed 2024 article date; its original p. 251 locator is retained
without a new passage-verification claim. The [citation correction record](../cambridge_identity_followup_20260909/ATLAS_CITATION_CORRECTIONS.json)
preserves both earlier atlas labels. Original source-note labels and IDs remain
provenance. Two pairs sharing registered work identifiers remain unmerged.
Mlambo's registered monograph DOI is not a separate frontmatter DOI. Swerdlow's
book review remains distinct from Polian's reviewed book. The 1948 Refugees
workshop date is distinct from its proceedings publication; no uncredited
proceedings author is inferred.

[Four new field exceptions](../cambridge_identity_followup_20260909/FIELD_EXCEPTIONS.json)
bring the total to twelve: Kanogo's original imprint, Elmslie's and Droessler's
journal issues, and Droessler's original publication day. [Conflicting metadata](../cambridge_identity_followup_20260909/JOURNAL_METADATA_CONFLICTS.json)
retain their source labels. Original journal headers and dates were available
through indexed text; direct pages and the relevant PDF were blocked. No visual
inspection of that PDF or reconciled original day is claimed. Electronic
locators are separate from printed pages and the original journal's article
numbers. Eleven registry dates specify only a year; omitted months are not
contradictions. Exact registration corroborates 89 component DOI values and
one containing-book DOI, without establishing historical support or source quality.
These sealed review records retain their prepublication status labels; the
current metadata view and publication descriptor establish their application.

The original typed metadata, status and inventory explanation remain in
`../history/20260908d/`. `INPUT_MANIFEST.json`, `source_occurrences.json`,
`work_inventory.json` and `SUMMARY.json` describe the original declared input
harvest. Occurrence titles and URLs are preserved as recorded; use the current
typed view and its preferred access links for later metadata corrections.
Source-note locators identify a project note, not a claim that the underlying
passage has just been read.
The previous effective typed view, explanation and status are preserved in
`../history/20260909c/`, `../history/20260909d/`, `../history/20260909e/`, `../history/20260909f/`, `../history/20260909g/` `../history/20260909h/` and `../history/20260909i/`.

## Current limits

The effective metadata tiers contain 943 unresolved secondary records, 116
earlier deposited identities with a mechanical screen, three earlier corrected
identifiers, 30 preserved pilot reviews, 272 reconciled metadata records with
separate passage limits, one reconciled containing-book record, and one known
article whose identifier remains unresolved. `METADATA_STATUS.json` provides
the machine-readable counts. The manuscript reference split remains 27 cited
works and 14 background entries.

The unresolved Historia identifier belongs to Antonio Espino López's 2012
article, whose [publisher page](https://revistahistoria.uc.cl/index.php/rhis/article/view/10102)
provides working access. Neither of its two published DOI forms was registered
in the observed DOI.org checks. A working URL does not resolve that registry
problem.

The review also identifies the correct journal for Yonas Tesema's Ethiopia
article, a journal article misclassified as a dataset in DataCite, and a Handle
misidentified from a publisher's `/doi/` path. It separates Bresson's chapter
from its containing book despite conflicting publisher metadata. Yale's 2024
formats for Olivelle's *Ashoka* are identified, while the older note's cited
copy and page locators remain an explicit exception.

Tsafack's printed issue designation is 2017, with 2018 copyright; the publisher
website separately reports issue publication in 2019 and article publication
in 2022. These dates retain their distinct roles. Breasted's 1906 publication
is separate from the scan's 2015 digitization. The inspected Grant book is
separate from the earlier doctoral thesis.

Metadata identity does not establish a source's support for a historical
claim. Source passages, editions and generic topic labels still require
research. No historical claim, event date, statistical input or evidence hold
is changed by this metadata update. Copyrighted source bodies and private
captures are excluded from this bibliography bundle.

## Passage notes

[Five source-specific notes](PASSAGE_NOTES.json) distinguish three located
passages from one partial opening and one abstract-only access record. They
identify the consulted version, source dependence and remaining limits. The
original identity decisions remain unchanged; these notes do not certify all
claims in an event or change its scores.
